I forgot about Tuesday poem! so here it is:
I write to remember
I write to forget
I write to release
each cynical breath
clouds of words
poisoning hopes
and days I dont want
to leave behind
all jumbled together,
leaves raked into a pile
for a small child
of indiscriminate tastes
to scatter haphazardly
as he leaps
feet
first.
Adore the leave pile imagery, Mels.
Thanks, E. We had an assignment to write a sonnet in one of my English classes. I tried and failed, but I got that out of it.
I like the leaves imagery as well. I can just see all the days and actions being scattered to the wind. 😉
