About LLB

About me:
Library scientist. Archivist. Roller Girl Wannabe. Roller Girl Bouncer Non-Skating Official and fresh meat skater.
This blog chronicles my attempts at managing to date, have friends, go to grad school, find work without a masters degree in a field that is dominated by people with them, and be a roller girl all at the same time. Laugh at my pain!

I’m also clinically depressed, so sometimes I am not funny when talking about my pain. But it’s okay, you can laugh at that, too, if you want.

This describes me, though I never suspected it was because of reading:

The girl who reads has spun out the account of her life and it is bursting with meaning. She insists that her narratives are rich, her supporting cast colorful, and her typeface bold.

from “You Should Date An Illiterate Girl” by Charles Warnke

I’m known as Archifist, Mels, or Sparklefez 🙂

About the blog:
I try to update Monday – Friday, often between 1 and 3 pm eastern time. Sometimes I fail. But I try not to. Fail, I mean. I update more or less at random right now.

This is incredibly off-topic and I apologize, but I ran into a comment of yours on Scalzi’s blog and just had to ask: is your handle a reference to a line from Anne Bishop’s Black Jewels series? Forgive me the moment of silly fangirl, but I wanted to check.
    Thanks!
